He is a Post-graduate Technocrat. He started his career in the year 1984 with Cheminor Drugs Limited (Group of Dr. Reddy’s Limited Laboratory), Hyderabad.

With his innovative skills and methodological approaches in R & D he developed cost effective Ibuprofen by using cyanide route. Later he took active part in commercializing the same. He was first promoted as Assistant Production Manager and then in a short span was promoted as the Production Manager in Cheminor Drugs Limited. During his tenure he was responsible for significant reduction in production cost of Ibuprofen. He played a key role in getting US FDA approval for Ibuprofen for Cheminor Drugs Limited in 1987.

In 1990 he acquired SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited which at that point of time was a sick unit and became the Managing Director of the Company. After taking charge as Managing Director, he changed the product mix of the Company. This gave the Company a boost in sales and helped the Company in achieving profitability in the first year of operations itself. Under his guidance the Company introduced many other series of API’s. He helped the company in reaching a level wherein we became one of the largest producers of Ranitidine HCl. He had served on boards of organizations like Chemexcil and has been advisor to AP State Government for Pharma sector.

Mr. P. Sarath Kumar (FCA)

Mr. P. Sarath Kumar is the founder partner of the Sarath & Associates. He is a Chartered Accountant with about 26 years of standing in the Profession of Chartered Accountancy and Consulting.

He is a Graduate in Commerce and a Bachelor of Law. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner & Certified Forensic Accounting Professional. He had been a Partner of a leading Firm of Chartered Accountants in Hyderabad earlier and established this Firm in the year 1990.

He is an Advisor actively involved with C.I.D. of AP Police and Central Bureau of Investigation in investigation of major Economic Offence cases and is a Member of Multi Disciplinary Investigation team, which investigated the famous Satyam Computers fraud case. He is one of the leading Consultants for Business Analysis, System Study and other areas of Consulting. He has been the guiding force behind the successful completion of every task in-front of S & A. He is an expert in Investigation Audits and is a visiting faculty at CBI Academy, SardarVallahbhai Patel National Police Academy, Andhra Pradesh Police Academy, A P Judicial Academy, National Academy of Direct Taxes, National Academy of Customs & Excise, ECIL, Midhani, HAL and other Public Sector Undertakings and deliver lectures on White Collar Crimes, Forensic Accounting, Anti-Corruption case investigations, Fraud Investigations etc., He had lead teams to carryout various types of Consulting and Audits, with specialization in Fraud Investigation and Forensic Accounting.

Mr. Sarvepalli Srinivas holds a B.Com. Degree from the University of Delhi. He is an accomplished Business leader with over 3 decades of proven leadership experience in leading Public / Private Sector

He has excellent people skills and problem-solving capability, exceptional blend of fiscal and management capabilities, financially astute, strategic thinking and highly analytical. He has a consistent track record of increasing sales and growing bottom line, while spearheading operational improvements in varied business verticals, cross-sector exposure with effective vision, excel in dynamic, demanding environments, while remaining pragmatic and focused.

Mr. Shravan Kudaravalli is a Commerce Graduate from Osmania University and a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
He is a partner in a reputed Chartered Accountancy firm and has experience in the area of Auditing, Accountancy, Company Law matter, Income Tax and Finance. He is involved in handling Internal and Statutory Audits of various Public and Private Companies and Systems designing for clients. He worked in various organizations both in India and abroad.

Ms. Shilpa Waghmare

Ms. Shilpa Waghmare holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a Master’s degree in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai with specialisation in Finance.

She is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and is currently associated with the Loan Administration Group at the Bank’s Head Office. She has served across various functions in the Bank including Risk Analysis, Credit Management and Stressed Assets. Before joining the Bank, Ms. Waghmare worked with SICOM Ltd. for 12 years and its subsidiary SICOM ARC Ltd. for over 4 years. She has over 23 years of experience in the areas of stressed assets, management / resolution of non-performing assets, sale and purchase of stressed assets, legal matters, project finance and compliance. Her areas of interest include music, dance, cooking and travel.

Mr. Vamsi Krishna Potluri

Executive Director – (introduced to the board with effect from 5th June, 2020)

Mr. Vamsi Krishna Potluri is the eldest son of Mr. Ramesh Babu Potluri, Chairman and Managing Director, SMS Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

He is the chip of the old block being bought up with same values and virtues which made Mr. Ramesh Babu Potluri a successful but humble human being. He had the privilege of dotting and guiding parents and has been learning from them in being humble and inheriting all the characteristics to be a successful second generation technocrat.

Mr. Vamsi Krishna had his schooling from Hyderabad and after his intermediate educationjoined BITS Pilani Dubai Campus for his Bachelor’s in Engineering in EEE. He was a meticulous student and passed out with flying colours. As part of his BE, he has done his internship in Julphar, one of the biggest Pharma companies in Middle East and owned by the Royal family of Ras Al Khaimah. He worked in their Electrical Engineering department working on ideas to increase the efficiency of the formulation equipment leveraging on what he learnt in his BE and incorporating latest technologies to increase the equipment efficiency.

In his limited internship for just 6 months, he could implement few of his ideas successfully and moved on for his higher education. He has done his Masters in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science & Technology- Rolla. He had exposure to subjects like Lean manufacturing; finance and cash flow management etc. which will keep him in a good stead going forward in managing Pharma industry.

He joined Ohm Labs which is a biggest manufacturing hub of Ranbaxy in US in the supply chain group and had hands on experience in managing the supply chain to ensure hassle free manufacturing schedules. After working for 1 year with exposure in almost all areas of the operations, he joined family business.

SMS pharmaceuticals Ltd as Vice President – Operations in the year 2014. Took charge of the operations of unit II and was instrumental in planning the business growth of the unit from 50 Crores to 100 crores in a span of 5 years without any capital investment or expansion but realizing the full potential of a limited capacity manufacturing facility though his optimization and marketing skills.

He was also drafted in to the core management team to drive the joint venture with a European partner chemo and was instrumental in development of 8 products under the JV which were developed in the R&D center and got commercialized in vizianagaram facility. In this process, he was regularly visiting and interacting with the R&D teams, motivating them and providing guidance in successfully churning out products in stringent time frames. He is currently involved in management of R&D as well apart from his regular role heading the marketing department in SMS pharmaceuticals Ltd.

He is a director on Board of VKT Pharma which is a subsidiary concern of SMS pharmaceuticals Ltd manufacturing finished formulations and has been driving its entire operations since 2015. He has been successful in getting market authorization for Ranitidine tablets in US market and has completed a Joint venture with US based company, ACIC Pharmaceuticlas developing 4 products with them and commercializing them successfully which are now driving revenues of VKT.

Mr.Vamsi Krishna has proved his management credentials and capabilities in multiple areas within a short span of time under guidance of Mr.Ramesh Babu Potluri. His attitude and man and resources management skills have kept the company in good stead since he joined the organization and believes in hands on approach inculcating the modern business traits with old and established virtues and is poised to take the company to greater heights.

Mr. TrilokPotluri has completed his undergrad in Computer Science at BITS Pilani-Dubai and has pursued his diploma in the field of Arts & Design and Game Design from Vancouver Film School. He is a passionate game designer and a serial entrepreneur with a 9+ years of management experience encompassing the avenues of Gaming, Animation, F&B & IT services.

He has expertise skills in Strategic planning, Monitoring& evaluating, financial planning, Business Management, Communication Tactical Market Planning, Organizational strategy, structure and dealt with various domestic and international clients. Professional Experience

Dr. Sunkara Venkata Satya Shiva Prasad

Dr. SunkaraVenkata Satya Shiva Prasad served in Indian Revenue Service from 1988 to 2021. He completed his Doctorate in Agricultural sciences from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He was selected for IRS in the year 1988. He was under gone training at National Academy of Direct Taxes in Accountancy, Companies Act, and also Industrial finance and management. He worked in various capacities as Assistant commissioner, Additional commissioner, Commissioner, Principal Commissioner and Retired as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax. Throughout his carrier he dealt with Accounting issues, Corporate finance issues, Industrial management and Industrial finance issues while working in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Coimbatore etc.

He had rich exposure regarding Accountancy issues, administration of Companies Act and Industrial Finance Management. He also had exposure to business restructuring of companies in accordance with Income tax act and other statutes.

Dr. Gangavarapu Suresh Kumar holds an M.B.B.S. Degree from Gandhi Medical
College Hyderabad and M.S. (General Surgery) from Gulbarga University,
Karnataka.

He is a Practicing Consultant Surgeon at several Multispecialty Hospitals at
Hyderabad. At Present he is also clinical Director of Robotic Surgery at KIMS
group of hospitals, Hyderabad.

He has rich experience in corporate business strategies, formulating financial
strategies, strategic planning, corporate affairs, especially in pharmaceutical
business. He also served and retired as an Independent Director of Divis
Laboratories Limited.
